TelOne captain Sergio ‘Ballack’ Nyabinde believes winning their next two fixtures against ZPC Munyati and Chapungu will set the the tone for their campaign for the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League championship title.

TelOne who were the runners up last season take on ZPC Munyati at Ascot stadium on Saturday before playing Chapungu at the same venue the following weekend.

ZPC Munyati and Chapungu are some of the favourites for the league title and Nyabinde a veteran of many campaigns having seen action with Tsholotsho and ZPC Kariba believes getting points from the two top teams will help them settle well and play without pressure going forward.

“It’s still early days to talk about the championship but once you take points away from those teams that you are in the race against, it helps you to position yourself and also build confidence,” Nyabinde said.

“ZPC Munyati and Chapungu are definitely aiming for the league title alongside us TelOne, so beating them would be really good for our campaign. It’s not going to be easy because these two teams are very strong this season and were very active in the pre season reinforcing. But at the same time if you want to be a champion, you have to eliminate challenge, so we need to be at our best so that we manage to take away points in these two matches.”

“I urge fans to come in number to witness the best on offer from the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League. I promise we won’t disappoint because we are all going all out for a win.”
