Isaiah Mupfurutsa has been pushed out of Dynamos as changes are taking place at the club with more dismissals expected within the executive and the technical department.

Although Dynamos were diplomatic in their press statement on Mupfurutsa’s departure, sources say the administrator was a victim of the backbiting and infighting at the club and his fate was sealed a long time ago after losing the battle against fellow executive members Moses Shumba, Moses Chikwariro and Francis Madzinga who had their own camp.

The trio managed to have the ear of the board chairman Bernard Marriott leading to the jettisoning of Mupfurutsa who also supported coach Tonderai Ndiraya whose contract is not going to be renewed when it expires at the end of December.

“Dynamos Football Club would like to reveal that Isaiah Mupfurutsa is leaving his post as chairman with immediate effect,” read part of the press statement.

” Mr Mupfurutsa has served Dynamos with distinction since 2018 when he was appointed chairman. Therefore, Dynamos Football Club would like to thank Mupfurutsa for his tireless dedication to the team. He will always be welcome at Dynamos Football Club because he is a staunch believer in the team.”

Former Lengthens Football Club executive Beadle Musa Gwasira has emerged as the favourite to take over from Mupfurutsa.
Gwasira who is in the Dynamos juniors executive structures, is reported to be the preferred candidate of board chairman Marriott.

Reports also say that Marriott is trying to entice former defender Kaitano Tembo who is based in South Africa to return home to take charge of the team next year. Rodwell Dhlakama who is now in charge of Black Leopards in South Africa is also rumoured to be one of those earmarked to come in as assistants to Tembo.
