Zimbabwe have been drawn in the same group with powerhouse South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania and Botswana in the 2023 Africa Regional Netball World Cup Qualifying tournament which kicks off in Pretoria in a fortnight.
The tournament begins on 21 August at Rembrandt Hall in Pretoria but Zimbabwe will be in action the following day against Tanzania. They will then take on Namibia on 23 August, followed by a clash against hosts South Africa and then wind up the group matches against Botswana on 25 August.
The top two teams from the two groups will proceed to the semi finals with the best two teams joining South Africa and Uganda who have already qualified for the Netball World Cup to be held in Cape Town in 2023.
